In 2010, Linn helped launch Thriive from a successful grant program of the Arthur B. Schultz Foundation.
Linn spent 20 years as a lobbyist, policy analyst, activist and fundraiser for Idaho’s largest conservation organization, the Idaho Conservation League. In 2008, she changed direction to follow her long-held dream to improve the quality of life in developing nations with the Arthur B. Schultz Foundation, creating and managing strategic relationships and major donor fundraising for the foundation until 2011. Directing Thriive is the next step on that path.
Linn holds a B.A. in Sociology from the University of Texas, Austin. She enjoys international travel, wilderness adventures, skiing, music and reading.
Co-Founder and CEO

Erik is the former Executive Director of the Arthur B. Schultz Foundation.
Erik earned a B.A. in Political Science from University of California, Davis in 1991 and an M.A. in Environmental Studies from Prescott College, AZ in 2006.
Philanthropic interests include socially- and environmentally-responsible economic development, wildlands conservation and wheelchair mobility issues. Personal interests include skiing, rivers, nature, live music and international travel.
Chief Operations Officer
Boise, Idaho USA
Laurel was a former Bank of America Branch Manager turned nonprofit officer after volunteering for Thriive 2010-2012 and realizing the opportunity to positively impact lives around the world. Prior to becoming COO, Laurel served as Thriive’s program officer and continues to supervise Thriive programs in Nicaragua, Kenya and Palestine.
Her philanthropic interests include the empowerment of women, environmental sustainability, and the education and well-being of children.
Laurel graduated with a B.A. in Mathematics (business focus) from Pacific Lutheran University, WA in 2006. She is currently pursuing her MBA degree from Boise State Unviersity, ID.
Laurel enjoys snowboarding, golf, camping, rafting, ultimate Frisbee, and almost all other sports and outdoor activities.
Seattle, Washington USA
Sharon has lived in Seattle, Washington since 2007 and has worked in the non profit sector for much of that time. Prior to joining Thriive, Sharon worked in development at Seattle Repertory Theatre for over five years. She is excited for the opportunity to impact lives positively on a global level with Thriive.
Sharon earned a B.A. in Theatre and English from Willamette University in Salem, Oregon. In her free time, she is also an actor and a yoga teacher in the greater Seattle area.
Other philanthropic interests include the performing arts, Alzheimer’s research and women’s empowerment.
Kellen R. Williams
Program and Operations Associate
Boise, Idaho USA
Kellen has a diverse background in event promotion, food service and production management, and entrepreneurship. Since he was a teenager, Kellen has held a great appreciation for small business owners. A small business owner himself, he understands the difficulties in considering expansion and acquiring necessary capital. He takes great pride in the opportunities working with Thriive to empower small business owners and their communities.
Kellen’s philanthropic interests include women’s education, environmental issues, and mental health/trauma recovery.
Kellen is also a DJ, sound technician, and freestyle dancer. In his free time he enjoys spending time in nature with his wife and son or attending arts and music festivals.
International Program Officer
Prior to joining Thriive, Huyen worked with bilateral and multilateral development institutions to improve quality education for children in Vietnam for over five years. She has served as manager of Thriive Hanoi program since 2012 and has been inspired by the positive and sustainable impact of Thriive to entrepreneurs and people from the communities they serve. Huyen is committed to continue to improve the quality of life of many people globally.
Huyen earned an MBA from Troy University, Alabama in 2011. Her philanthropic interests include education, sustainable development, women empowerment, social enterprise, social innovation, and social impact.
Huyen enjoys international travel, attending arts, culture and music events, nature, and having good conversations with people from diverse experience and backgrounds.
